Our names are Jack & Sue Hahn and we started our game board and marble business
in 1983 when Jack made the first Chinese Checker boards to sell at a show Sue was
doing with her off loom weavings. They sold and orders were taken and soon a new
business was born. Over the years we have experimented with different materials and
finishes for our games and developed our unique brightly colored boards and Tye Dyes
that set us apart. Most of our game boards are made of Pine, which is drilled, finely
sanded, and stained either DARK (Red Mahogany), MEDIUM (Special Walnut) or LIGHT
(Golden Oak), They are then finished with three coats of water based polyurethane. Most
of the games are also available in the following colors: RED, YELLOW, TURQUOISE
BLUE, ORANGE, HOT PINK, PURPLE, DARK GREEN, CRANBERRY, & BLACK. We also
do them in an assortment of hardwoods depending on demand and availability. While
we do not have a shop for the public to visit we do a number of Art & Craft Shows
throughout the year and we encourage you to check our show schedule
and drop by a show and say Hello.
We do not have a shopping cart set up as we offer so many ways to customize our
products to make it exactly what you want. It is best to e-mail
(please put the word MARBLE in the subject line) or call us with any questions 804/448-9100. We
accept Visa & MasterCard & Checks, we can send C.O.D. but it is more expensive. Please
do not send cash in the mail.
Postage & Handling
We have found that the USPS offers the best price for shipping most of our packages,
the exception being large heavy boxes of marbles which ship best with UPS. With the
USPS we will Insure and purchase Delivery Confirmation on the majority of our packages,
it is the only way to track them accurately. We will select the service by how fast
you tell us that you need to receive it. We try to ship within a couple days of receiving
an order but sometimes if we are out of town or out of a certain item it may take
longer. We will contact you if there is any abnormal delay in putting your order
together.
Returns & Exchanges
Should you be displeased with any item we send please contact us within 2 weeks
of receiving it and we will be glad to work with you on a return, replacement or
exchange. We are sorry but P & H costs cannot be refunded.
Privacy & Security
We do not sell, share or provide access to any information we ask of you. We
do not store your card number on any computerized system and all copies of it are
destroyed with the exception of what is required by the bank.
Responsibility
Please use good judgement in exposing young children to marbles as they can be
a choking hazard. Make sure they are taught rules (no marbles in mouth, nose, etc,)
and responsibility (pick up after play) and they should be properly supervised until
you are absolutely sure they can be trusted with them.
The name "The Marble Man" is protected by Federal Trademark Registration
# 1789522. Registered and accepted in Aug. 1993, this registration has been renewed
and remains in full force. The use in any form without our express permission is
illegal.
